I can see the implications for a Vocaroo email in Foreign Language class. Certainly it is useful for a review of pronunciation in the lower classes, but I love the idea of having students follow oral instructions. It is a great resource for AP. Students get hooked on a teacher’s accent. It is important to expose students to a variety of comprehensible input. Students pick up in the classroom based on what other students do or how they react. An isolated input session is excellent for listening comprehension. I also can see this is a great tool to tattle on kids. Our students have very involved Parents. Threatening to call home is a huge motivator for our students. I send a Vocaroo to parents when I send home progress reports.
